R&R Machine Works is growing and hiring key positions to keep up with our customers’ service needs! Several positions are open, including Road Crew, Shop Help, and Machinist.
An ideal candidate for our Road Crew is ready to do service work, is mechanically inclined, and able to travel Monday through Friday, has a CDL, with knowledge of feed and roller mills is a plus. We will train the right candidate and help them obtain their CDL.
An ideal candidate for our Shop is hardworking, reliable, able to weld, use a torch, and consistently produce quality work.
An ideal candidate for our Machinist position will be able to:
Set up and operate manual machines with minimal supervision.
Review samples, drawings, and instructions to understand the specifications of the output.
Read and interpret blueprints.
Plan the sequence of necessary actions for successful job completion.
Take measurements and mark material for cutting or shaping.
Determine appropriate machines (e.g., lathes) and position or load material for a job.
Monitor the machine while working to adjust the feed, maintain temperature, and identify issues.
Check output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects.
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products.
Independently perform basic maintenance on equipment.
Observes all safety rules and regulations during duties.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Previous working experience as a Machinist
Hands-on experience with different manual, semi-automated r automated tools, and machines (lathes, grinders, etc.)
In-depth knowledge of the properties of metal and other material
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
Knowledge of CNC is a plus
